Maintenance Technician

Overview The Assistant Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that the apartment units, common areas and grounds are properly maintained, Helping oversee, and conduct make ready operations and repair/renovation work. The Assistant Maintenance Technician works with the property manager, Maintenance Supervisor and the remaining on-site staff to ensure that all activities are conducted in compliance with all local, state and federal employment, housing, safety, landlord/tenant, OSHA and real estate laws. Responsibilities Electrical, plumbing and appliance repair · HVAC/Heating repairs · Complete work order repairs timely and efficiently · Perform drywall repairs and caulking · Painting · Maintain an ongoing preventative maintenance program · Repair appliances when applicable · Ensure grounds are kept clean and groomed · Help the manager ensure all policies and procedure are followed · Perform on call duties as required for emergencies Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
