Concrete Quality Control Inspector

Job Description Position OverviewWe are seeking a Concrete Quality Control Inspector to support production and quality assurance in a precast and prestressed concrete manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for performing inspections, verifying reinforcement placement, monitoring concrete quality, and maintaining accurate records throughout the production process.Candidates with quality control experience in concrete production are strongly encouraged to apply. ACI Field Technician Grade I and/or PCI Level I or II certifications are preferred.Key ResponsibilitiesPre-Pour InspectionsPerform pre-pour inspections of precast and prestressed concrete membersReview detailed construction drawings to verify reinforcement placement, embedded hardware, and panel layoutEnsure formwork is clean, prepared, and ready for concrete placementReinforcement and Cage InspectionsInspect steel precast reinforcement cages before placement in concrete formsVerify reinforcement details including:Reinforcement spacingReinforcement sizeReinforcement counts by typeBend diagrams and reinforcement configurationConfirm materials match the bill of materials and project specificationsDrawing Interpretation & CoordinationInterpret engineering and fabrication drawingsIdentify and report discrepancies including:Incorrect dimensionsPlate or hardware orientation issuesMissing or incorrect componentsCommunicate issues promptly with project coordinators and production teamsPrestressing OperationsAssist with and lead strand stressing operationsPerform stressing calculationsEnsure the process is conducted safely and accuratelyProduction CommunicationCoordinate with production supervisors and crew leads to resolve dimensional or quality concernsSafety ComplianceEnforce company safety policies and proceduresFollow guidelines provided by the Safety Manager and internal training programsDocumentation & Record KeepingMaintain detailed records of inspections and materials, including:Pre-pour inspection reports (digital and paper)Pre-stress cable recordsPlate fabrication recordsConcrete TestingWhen required, perform testing of plastic concrete properties, including:Spread/SlumpUnit WeightCylindersAir ContentTemperatureAdditional DutiesAdditional responsibilities may include:Aggregate gradation testingPost-pour inspectionsConcrete cylinder break testingBatch plant reporting and documentationThis role may require occasional weekend work to support production schedules.Preferred QualificationsExperience in Concrete Quality Control or Precast ProductionACI Field Technician Grade I certification (preferred)PCI Level I or Level II certification (preferred)Ability to read and interpret construction and engineering drawingsStrong attention to detail and documentation skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentCompany DescriptionMobile Staff Solutions is a full-service staffing company dedicated to efficiently and effectively managing our clients hiring process by:Delivering better candidates by customizing the screening and assessment process for each and every customer.Quickly building a diverse candidate pipeline to reduce hiring time and cost.Offering flexible workforce options such as: temp, temp-to-hire, and direct hires.MSS is an equal opportunity employer.
