They represent Omega Concrete on every delivery, communicate directly with customers and dispatch, and help make sure each load arrives safely, on time, and ready for a successful pour.Position SummaryOmega Concrete is hiring a Ready-Mix Concrete Mixer Driver to operate a front-discharge mixer truck and deliver concrete to residential, commercial, industrial, and sitework projects in the Jackson, TN area.This position requires safe operation of a commercial mixer truck, strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and the ability to communicate professionally with dispatch, plant personnel, contractors, and jobsite crews. The right person does not need to be a concrete finisher, but they do need to understand that timing, safety, slump control, truck care, and customer interaction all matter.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate a front-discharge ready-mix concrete truck safely and professionally.Deliver concrete to job sites according to dispatch instructions, delivery tickets, and customer schedules.Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.Safely maneuver the truck on roads, plant property, and active construction sites.Communicate with dispatch, batch plant personnel, quality control, and jobsite contacts.Verify delivery tickets, mix information, jobsite location, and unloading instructions.Monitor concrete consistency and communicate any concerns before or during delivery.Operate mixer controls, discharge concrete safely, and position the truck as needed for the pour.Add water or admixtures only when authorized and properly documented.Wash down the truck, hopper, chute, and discharge areas after loading and unloading.Keep the assigned truck clean, maintained, and ready for daily operation.Follow all company safety procedures, DOT requirements, and jobsite rules.Represent Omega Concrete with professionalism, patience, and a customer-first attitude.Required QualificationsValid Class A or Class B CDL.Acceptable motor vehicle record.Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and company driving requirements.Ability to safely operate a heavy commercial vehicle in traffic, tight jobsites, and changing weather conditions.Dependable attendance and willingness to start early when pours require it.Ability to work Monday through Saturday as needed, depending on workload and weather.Ability to climb in and out of the truck, inspect equipment, wash down the mixer, and handle normal physical demands of the job.Strong communication skills with dispatch, coworkers, contractors, and customers.Safety-minded attitude and willingness to follow instructions.Preferred QualificationsReady-mix concrete driving experience.Front-discharge mixer truck experience.Experience driving dump trucks, tanker trucks, concrete trucks, or other heavy vocational trucks.Basic understanding of slump, washout, delivery tickets, admixtures, and jobsite concrete placement.Familiarity with residential slabs, commercial foundations, paving, curbs, footings, walls, or other concrete pours.Mechanical awareness and ability to identify basic truck or mixer issues before they become problems.What We’re Looking ForWe are looking for someone who is reliable, careful, and professional.
