POSITION PURPOSE:
Wing Inflatables is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented individual to support key functions within our warehouse operations. In this versatile role, you’ll help ensure materials and finished goods are received, stored, and shipped accurately and on time. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
SHIPPING
Prepare and execute daily shipping schedules
Match Bills of Lading, Packing Slips, and Commercial Invoices accurately
Organize shipping documentation and prepare kits for shipment
Set up return shipments and quotes for Sales team
Document all shipments in compliance with internal procedures
Process small parcel shipments and understand government contracts and hazardous goods procedures
Assemble shipping crates and containers, both wooden and cardboard
Operate forklifts or hand trucks as needed (must be or become forklift certified)
RECEIVING AND WAREHOUSE
Receive incoming shipments and verify materials against packing slips
Maintain receiving logs and inspect incoming goods
Store materials in an orderly and safe manner following FIFO principles
Support inventory management and work order fulfillment
INVENTORY CONTROL
Conduct daily cycle counts
Alert appropriate departments when materials or supplies run low
Ensure accurate and timely recording of inventory transactions
GENERAL
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment
Follow all safety protocols and wear PPE as required
Perform other duties as assigned by Warehouse Management
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent, or combination of relevant work
Proficiency working on computers is required for some of the inventory and shipping tasks.
Must have a valid CA driver’s license within 3 months of hire.
Ability to interact with all types of people and provide a high level of customer service.
Proven ability to communicate positively and clearly, listens and get clarification
Ability to carry out detailed instructions, apply common sense, and deal with issues timely
Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Gathers and analyzes information skillfully. Develops alternative solutions where applicable
Strong, professional work ethic, deadline driven and quality conscious.
Punctual and regular attendance; willingness to work OT if needed; schedules off time in advance whenever possible. Plans to have responsibilities covered prior to taking time off.
This position requires frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 90 lbs), kneeling, and stooping
Must be comfortable working in a production-focused environment
Desired
6 months – 1 year of relevant work experience in a shipping or materials department
Verifiable experience with computers is preferred
