General Manager

The General Manager provides leadership and oversight of the daily operations of Stock and Barrel facility with responsibility for retail staff to include all sales and customer service activities in accordance with the company’s vision and standards while making sure the environment is clean, safe and compliant for both team members and guests.Responsibilities and Expectations:ManagementOversees and provides leadership as it pertains to all employment activities and monitors the performance of the team members to ensure the vision, goals and standards of Stock and Barrel are met at all times. Performs all sales floor activities supplementing Team Lead and Sales Associate duties as required. Provides coaching and counseling; disciplinary actions as necessary; plans, monitors and performs periodic evaluations of team member’s performance as necessary. Ensures all employment documentation is in a current status. Oversees and ensures that scheduling and employment activities meets the store operational requirements. Ensures team members are following daily procedures in accordance with the company’s vision and compliance requirements. Ensures general guidelines on Stock and Barrel rules and safety are met at all times. Oversees merchandising and sales goals to ensure execution of the plan to meet daily and long term goals. Ensures team members are working in a safe and efficient manner. Ensures Stock and Barrel is providing a safe and clean store environment at all times. Ensures and maintains all company policies, processes, and training requirements in compliance with all employment regulations. Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory entities including BATFE, OSHA, and the EPA. Trains and develops Team Leads and Sales Associates in all areas of their responsibilities. Works with CEO to develop, execute, implement, and follow through of financial goals and results. Meets with the management team to review monthly forecasts, commission sheets, productivity reports, and the profit performance of each department as a whole and each salesperson individually. Assures processes and safety protocols are implemented and monitored. Creates a culture promoting a high standard of the member/customer experience. Responsible for all ordering of merchandise and supplies in accordance with approved budget. Requirements:Up to 5 years of back office management experience with retail accounting experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education & experience; similar industry preferred. Ability to work in a fast paced, customer focused environment. Demonstrated attention to detail. High degree of discretion dealing with confidential information. Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and computer skills. High mathematical aptitude to calculate figures and amounts (i.e. discounts, interest, commissions, etc.)Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Work Environment:May be exposed to noise and occasionally exposed to airborne particles. The noise level the work environment is usually moderate. Physical demands:Regularly required to talk and hear and frequently required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel and crouch. Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
