As a Fabrication Technician you will perform wafer fabrication functions in the production of semiconductor devices. Operate equipment in performing alignment, masking, etch deposition, testing, and diffusion. Manage workflows to optimize equipment output performance.ResponsibilitiesPerform wafer fabrication by following work instruction and documented proceduresOperate equipment to perform various stages of the wafer fabrication processPerform measurements and analysis of critical parameters and record dataAdhere to clean room protocol and work practices, including wearing PPE for long periods of timeMaintain proper documentation and recordsMove materials or finished good from one location to another; may involve pushing, pulling, or lifting (up to 20 pounds) or bendingVisually inspect and recognize quality defectsHandle fragile GaAs wafers and precious metals, such as gold and platinumMix wet chemistriesCollect and log data into computer-based applicationsRequired Experience and SkillsHigh School Diploma or equivalent GEDBasic mathematical computations and writing tasksEffective communication, include speaking, writing, active listening and taking instructionDexterity and good hand-eye coordination, with the ability to manipulate components of various sizesAbility to understand directions and adhere to established proceduresAbility to stand for long periods of time and to perform repetitive tasksLifts, handles, and reaches to use tools such as pliers, large tweezers, hand-held scanners, etc.Basic computer knowledge and skills including MS Office SuiteDependable team playerDesired Experience and SkillsPrior semiconductor manufacturing experience and knowledge of overall Wafer FAB operational proficiency (process, tools, flows)Knowledge of cleanroom practices and protocolsProblem solving abilities to troubleshootThe typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $16.59 - $25.19 per hour. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
