Facilities Electrician (Journeyman or Master)

JH Industrial Services, a division of Jergens Piping Corporation, is seeking a Skilled Facilities Electrician (Journeyman or Master Licensed) to support facilities maintenance operations at a local pharmaceutical company.This role is responsible for preventative maintenance, break-fix maintenance, and emergency electrical repairs within a highly regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Work is typically scheduled but may require flexibility to respond to urgent operational needs.The Facilities Electrician will maintain, install, and repair electrical systems, lighting, power distribution, and industrial machinery (up to 600V or higher with appropriate certification), ensuring compliance with NEC standards and site-specific safety requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventative, corrective, and emergency electrical maintenanceMaintain and repair electrical distribution systems, panels, lighting, and equipmentDiagnose, adjust, repair, assemble, calibrate, install, and maintain high- and low-voltage systemsDocument findings, identify deficiencies, and report corrective actions in compliance with site standardsInterpret and update blueprints and electrical schematics as neededTest systems using multimeters, voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic toolsManage Control of Hazardous Energy through Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) proceduresProgram and troubleshoot PLCs and VFDs in an industrial settingFabricate and install conduit systems (measuring, cutting, threading, bending pipe/strut/threaded rod)Assist other trades proactively to support project progress and efficient site operationsEquipment & Site SupportOperate hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipmentUtilize Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIVs) such as forklifts, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and boom liftsPerform site preparation including trenching and minor concrete workConduct minor facility maintenance (lighting, hardware, plumbing fixtures, etc.)Contact suppliers/manufacturers for parts information and repair coordinationPerform material handling and work area cleanupRequired QualificationsState of Michigan Journeyman Electrical License and/or Master Electrical License3+ years of industrial/commercial electrical experienceDemonstrated experience working with multiple stakeholders while maintaining compliance with site and customer standardsElite, customer-driven professionalDemonstrates an elite, customer-focused mindsetWorking knowledge of NEC requirementsValid State of Michigan driver's licenseHigh school diploma or GEDAbility to:Work at heights and in confined spacesBend, twist, kneel, and stand for extended periodsLift up to 50 lbsWork in various weather conditionsWork in extreme temperatures (above 90°F or below 32°F)Strict adherence to safety protocols and PPE requirementsAbility to pass background check and drug screeningNice to HaveExperience with commercial/industrial HVAC systems including preventative maintenance and troubleshootingExperience in regulated manufacturing environments (pharmaceutical, chemical, food & beverage)
