Building Finishing ContractorsLumber and Other Construction Materials Merchant WholesalersTechnical and Trade SchoolsMachinery, Equipment, and Supplies Merchant WholesalersBuilding Material and Supplies DealersCarpenter IIIExperienced and reliable utilitarian with the ability to perform all facets of construction in a fast-paced environment.Essential FunctionsAdvanced knowledge/skills in every facet of constructionMaintain clean project sites and work areas as neededRead and interpret blueprints, sketches, and shop drawingsEfficient and safe use of power tools, measuring and cutting of materialsAbility to make various cuts to different millwork pieces to fit properlyOccasional forklift operationsInstall molding/ trim of windows, doors, crown molding, mantels, and other various ornamental piecesInstall cabinetry if neededComplete various putty & paint touch upsRead and comprehend various punch list items and complete punch list items to meet schedule requirements.Work closely with Site Superintendent and Framing Foreman to coordinate materials & tools needed to complete various framing, siding, & finish carpentry tasks to stay on scheduleOther duties as assignedRequirementsEducation and ExperienceRequired:High school graduate or GED equivalent is requiredMust have valid driver's license with reliable transportation to and from the job siteMust have 4+ years of experience in residential construction including framing, siding, and finish trim carpentryAbility to maintain excellent attendance recordAdvanced understanding of building materialsAble to follow all company and OSHA safety rules and regulationsAbility to work in a team environment and individually based on specific job requirementsAbility to problem solveExcellent communications skillsAbility to work at various heightsPreferred:OSHA 10/30 certificationTelehandler and/or Genie certificationTechnical diploma in residential building or completion of apprenticeship preferredPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift and carry up to 80 poundsAbility to stand and walk for long periods of timeFrequent bending, kneeling, twisting/turning, crouching, crawlingAbility to climb, work on and carry a ladderComfortable working at various heightsWork Environment:This position involves working in all climates as well as multi-story buildings on an active construction site. This role routinely is exposed to dust and noise associated with saws and power tools.Special Requirements:This position requires regular in-state travel with the ability to work 45 - 50 hours per week Monday Friday, with occasional hours outside of that range as business necessitates.
