Functional / Epilepsy Cranial Neurosurgeon Providence Swedish Neuroscience Institute - Seattle, WA Providence Swedish Neuroscience Institute is recruiting a fellowship‑trained Functional and Epilepsy Cranial Neurosurgeon to join and help lead a growing, nationally recognized neuroscience program. This is a rare opportunity to shape and expand a comprehensive epilepsy and functional neurosurgery program within a collaborative, high‑acuity academic environment. Position Highlights Lead and grow an advanced functional and epilepsy neurosurgery practice, with approximately 40% subspecialty focus and the balance in general neurosurgery Compensation is between $858,913 and $1,225,139 per year Perform complex cranial procedures including SEEG, RNS, DBS, VNS, LITT, open epilepsy surgery, stereotactic procedures, and neuromodulation Practice primarily on the Issaquah campus while remaining fully integrated into the broader Swedish Neuroscience Institute for complex cases, inpatient care, and shared call Work alongside experienced advanced practice clinicians, neurophysiology, nursing, and perioperative teams that support high‑acuity surgical care Participate in weekly multidisciplinary epilepsy conferences and comprehensive pre‑surgical evaluation pathways Enjoy a sustainable call model supported by APC daytime coverage and cranial fellow support overnight and on weekends Benefits and Opportunities Join a large, well‑established neuroscience program with deep subspecialty expertise across cranial, cerebrovascular, spine, epilepsy, movement disorders, and neuro‑oncology Operate within a Level 4 Epilepsy program with in‑house interpretive monitoring and strong adult and pediatric epilepsy collaboration Access state‑of‑the‑art operating rooms equipped for robotic SEEG, DTI navigation, awake craniotomy, LITT, and focused ultrasound Thrive in a collegial, physician‑led culture with engaged clinical and operational leadership committed to long‑term program investment Opportunities for academic appointment, fellowship teaching, research participation, and program leadership This role is ideal for a surgeon who values clinical excellence, collaboration, and the opportunity to build and lead within one of the Pacific Northwest’s premier neuroscience programs.
