Providence Swedish Neuroscience Institute is recruiting a fellowship‑trained Functional and Epilepsy Cranial Neurosurgeon to join and help lead a growing, nationally recognized neuroscience program. This is a rare opportunity to shape and expand a comprehensive epilepsy and functional neurosurgery program within a collaborative, high‑acuity academic environment.
Position Highlights
Lead and grow an advanced functional and epilepsy neurosurgery practice, with approximately 40% subspecialty focus and the balance in general neurosurgery
Compensation is between $858,913 and $1,225,139 per year
Perform complex cranial procedures including SEEG, RNS, DBS, VNS, LITT, open epilepsy surgery, stereotactic procedures, and neuromodulation
Practice primarily on the Issaquah campus while remaining fully integrated into the broader Swedish Neuroscience Institute for complex cases, inpatient care, and shared call
Work alongside experienced advanced practice clinicians, neurophysiology, nursing, and perioperative teams that support high‑acuity surgical care
Participate in weekly multidisciplinary epilepsy conferences and comprehensive pre‑surgical evaluation pathways
Enjoy a sustainable call model supported by APC daytime coverage and cranial fellow support overnight and on weekends
