Retail execution and customer collaboration are key responsibilities vital to the success of this position as well as broker management and account intimacy. This position reports to a Sales Director.ResponsibilitiesDeveloping and delivering customer plans to achieve volume objectives and primary day-to-day selling interface at customer HQManage direct account sales of McCormick product offerings, policies and procedures, score-carding, annual planning reviews, determine pricing, forecast & distribution for existing brands and new productsSell-in of retail controllables with customer (mix, promotion, shelf, display) and manage deal negotiationsDetermine appropriate product mix and gain subsequent distributionManage trade spend promotion systemOvernight travel required to key markets/accounts as needed to support the business (25%)Required QualificationsBachelor’s Degree6 years Sales, Marketing, or related experience with a minimum of 4 years’ experience successfully directly managing a customer. Broker management experience a plus.Strong computer and analytical skills requiredExpert knowledge of procedures & concepts within Sales function and basic knowledge in other areas, such as sales operations, supply chain, and marketingUnderstands how Sales integrates with other internal commercialization areas -- marketing, supply chain, financeAwareness of store conditions and current & best practices within areaEvaluates complex situations using multiple sources of informationAbility to make data-driven, insightful decisionsExcellent verbal and written communication, as well as analytical, problem solving, communication & organization skillsStrong negotiation, influencing and leadership skillsStrong computer and analytical skills Understanding of CPG industry sector and competitive landscapeKnowledge of syndicated dataValid driver’s licenseAs a general policy, McCormick does not offer employment visa sponsorships upon hire or in the future. Base Salary: $121,900 - $219,410Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Sales Incentive Bonus (SIB) Plan.
