Utility Operator

*Overview:* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Molder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating molding machines and ensuring the production of high-quality plastic products. This role requires attention to detail, technical skills, and a commitment to maintaining safety standards in a fast-paced environment. *Responsible for weighing and mixing plaster and subsequently pouring it into a mold.* *Summary/Objective:* Performs a utility operation function which includes grit blasting parts, finishes molded parts to customer specifications, plastics molding or additional tasks as required. *Job Responsibilities* * Grit blasts plastic molded parts as required using the grit blaster machine. * Performs plastics molding and additional plastics department functions as trained for and required. * Performs secondary operations tasks such as but not limited to using fixtures where required, drills holes, and taps with flexarm, cordless drills, air operated drills, and operates Anilam machine to machine parts etc. * Mix filler and hardener per instructions. * Inspect parts and fill voids. * Using sandpaper, straight drill, and sander, finish parts per job instructions. * Verify counts, read job travelers, and route parts to the next location. * Meet quality and quantity standards for the position. * Proactively supports the ISO process approach to quality management and the Syteline MIS system * Accomplishes organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. * Adheres to all safety policies and practices, consistently uses personal protective equipment, and practices good housekeeping. * Maintains regular on time attendance and adheres to company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct. * Applies classroom and on the job post training information, knowledge, skills, and abilities consistently in a quality-oriented manner (wherein the KSAs are part of the jobs tasks, duties and other tasks as requested). * Performs other tasks as directed. *Educational, Experience Based, and Skill Qualifications* * High school graduate or equivalent with manual dexterity. 6 months’ experience in a surface finishing function preferable. * Ability to read job travelers/job specifications. * Strong attention to detail. *Physical Requirements* Ability to sit for extended time periods, reach and grasp parts/hand tools and lift up to and including 35 pounds as needed.
