We tackle diverse, high-value projects using advanced estimating, scheduling, and construction management technology, and we’re proud of the collaborative, client-first culture we’ve built over the past 25 years.The Role:You’ll own projects from preconstruction through closeout, leading subcontractor buyout, building and maintaining schedules, managing budgets, and keeping clients informed every step of the way. This is both an office and occasional field role that requires a strong presence at meetings and on the jobsite, alongside solid office-to-field coordination skills.You’ll work alongside our superintendents, estimating team, and ownership group on projects across commercial, institutional, and specialty construction sectors.What You’ll Do (*specific responsibilities and project team will vary by size of job):• Lead subcontractor buyout, solicit bids, level scopes, issue subcontracts and purchase orders.• Develop and manage project schedules, and identify risks to the critical path early.• Own the project budget by tracking costs, processing pay applications, and managing change orders and owner billing.• Manage the RFI, submittal, and drawing log, keeping the design team and subs aligned.• Communicate proactively with owners, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders. Run OAC meetings • Ensure projects are closed out completely, including punch lists, warranties, O&M manuals, final lien waivers, and other compliance requirements as required.What We’re Looking For• 4–10+ years in commercial construction project management as a PM.• Proficiency in Procore (or comparable PM software) and scheduling tools like P6, MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.• Clear, direct communicator who is comfortable presenting to owners and managing difficult conversations with subs as needed.• Strong negotiation skills and ability to solve problems creatively.• Bonus: Experience managing bonded public work and/or projects with CHFA/CHRO/Section 3 requirements. Why BRD Builders:You’ll join a stable, well-capitalized firm that’s been delivering complex projects in Connecticut for over 25 years.
