Business Development Representative
EquipNet helps the largest manufacturers in the world to buy, sell, and manage their surplus capital equipment. The company works in multiple industries including consumer packaged goods, pharmaceutical, biotech, chemical, and electronics.Reporting to the Corporate Relationship Manager – the Business Development Representative will work as part of a team engaged in helping companies buy and sell pre-owned process and packaging machinery. The company is looking for a self-starter who loves to develop business on the phone promoting relevant products to relevant people and nurture company-developed sales leads into opportunities and invoices.Responsibilities:There are four pillars that our Sales Reps focus on every day:1) Project Promotion and Business DevelopmentMake outbound calls as part of an overall promotional strategy for industry projectsUtilize LinkedIn and other association memberships to supplement call activityBuild and maintain a pipeline of qualified contacts to drive consistent deal flow.Meet and exceed goals for call volume, lead generation, and sales conversions.2) Lead ManagementQualify incoming leads, assessing their viability and progressing them to opportunities, offers, and purchases.Negotiate pricing and terms between buyers and sellers to facilitate successful transactions.Prepare sales contracts for orders obtained and submit orders for processing.3) Acquiring Supply that supplements the inventory that we get through our global contractsSupply Relationships - qualify and maintain relationships for listings that are posted on the website in your industryServe as the Project Manager to customers who have listed individual assets on EquipNet.com through you4) Following Up on past contacts/relationships.Leverage our 700,000+ contact database and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to identify key decision-makers.Ensure identification and development of relationships of equipment dealers within your industry.Call customers on the rare occasion that we receive neutral and negative feedback for items sold in your industryRequirements1 to 2 years of capital equipment sales experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods Industry, including food, beverage, cosmetics and/or personal care manufacturing preferred, (but not required)Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent experience in capital equipment salesCustomer service and/or project management experience also idealAbility to work remotely in a self-motivated and disciplined manner.Proven track record in consultative sales, negotiation, and relationship management.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsDeep network on LinkedIn with a history of strong posting activityCompensation and Benefits70k to 75k Base, plus OTE incentiveVariable compensation plan based on company, team, and individual success against goalsComprehensive benefits package, including 401(k), health, dental, etc.Powered by JazzHR
