Looking ahead, Ellis Fire aims to further expand its services, incorporate the latest advancements in fire protection technology, and continuously improve its service offerings to maintain its status as a trusted name in fire safety.Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our Fire Alarm Department in Woburn, MA.Job ResponsibilitiesPrepares estimates and bid proposals based on evaluation of construction documentsReviews the construction and fire alarm drawingsDevelops and carries out sales strategiesAttends walk-through and determines factors that will affect the cost estimateInteracts with all internal groups and communicates pertinent informationCommunicates with subcontractors, vendors and clientsExhibits the value of competencies for the company, department, employees and business partnersPromotes a positive safety culture by adhering to policies and procedures set by the departmentJob QualificationsAbility to read, understand and interpret plans and specificationsStrong analytical and conceptual skillsAbility to conduct a thorough review of plans and specsAbility to prepare and complete all phases of quantity survey work and pricingStrong computer and mathematical skills and perform accurate analysis within deadlinesDemonstrated people skills, ability to supervise others and assign work on a priority basisSelf-starter, detail-oriented, multi-taskerAbility to represent the company professionallyEducation and ExperienceOne to 5 years of experience in related field and/or EstimatingMinimum of High School Diploma, Associate's Degree preferredSoftware Necessary: Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, On Screen TakeoffPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENTMostly office environment, but may have moderate noise with computers, printers, and light office trafficWhen visiting job sites, environment will be dependent on type of organizationOccasional lifting of up to 25 poundsAs part of the DU Family of Companies, we believe that investing and empowering our employees as leaders develops an organization that delivers innovative solutions and services that create a superior customer experience.
