Dental Hygienist Job DescriptionPosition Title: Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)Location: Bloomfield Hills, MIEmployment Type: Full-TimePosition OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Dental Hygienist to join a growing and well-established dental practice. This role is responsible for providing high-quality preventive and therapeutic dental care while ensuring a positive patient experience. The Dental Hygienist plays a critical role in patient education, clinical efficiency, and overall oral health outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform dental cleanings, scaling, root planing, and periodontal maintenanceConduct oral health assessments including charting, probing, and documentationTake and interpret digital radiographs (X-rays)Educate patients on oral hygiene, disease prevention, and post-treatment careAssist dentists in diagnosing and treatment planningAdminister local anesthesia and/or nitrous oxide where permittedMaintain accurate and compliant patient recordsFollow strict infection control and sterilization protocolsSupport overall patient flow and clinical efficiencyBuild strong patient relationships to encourage retention and trustQualificationsActive Dental Hygienist license in MichiganLocal anesthesia and nitrous certificationCPR/BLS certificationPassion for Health/WellnessStrong knowledge of periodontal therapy and preventive careProficiency with dental software systems (Eaglesoft)Excellent communication and patient education skillsDetail-oriented with strong clinical documentation habitsAbility to work effectively within a team environmentPreferred Experience1+ years of clinical dental hygiene experienceExperience in a high-volume or fast-paced dental practiceFamiliarity with digital imaging and intraoral scanning technologyCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive PayHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company match through profit sharingPaid time off and holidaysContinuing education supportWork Schedule7-4:30pm Mon-Thurs
