Job Description Join Our Gastroenterology TeamOur organization is actively looking for a full-time Gastroenterologist to become a part of our dedicated team. While a focus on General Gastroenterology is preferred, we are also open to candidates with additional specialized skills.Key ResponsibilitiesYour clinical responsibilities will primarily involve outpatient care, with a balanced distribution between clinic visits and endoscopic procedures at both the hospital and an ambulatory surgery center. You will also be expected to engage in teaching fellows, residents, and students. We will provide mentorship and allocate protected time for your professional development.About the DivisionOur Gastroenterology Division comprises 18 physicians and 4 advanced practice providers, specializing in areas such as therapeutic endoscopy, hepatology, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), motility, and genetics. The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition is expanding, with faculty practicing at various locations including the University Hospital, Riverside County Hospital, and the VA. This position will primarily be based at the University site, focusing on teaching fellows and residents. Our faculty includes nationally recognized experts in hepatology, therapeutic endoscopy, and IBD, fostering a collegial environment centered on patient care and education.Academic and Community EngagementFaculty members in the Department of Medicine are encouraged to pursue academic interests through teaching and research, as well as to provide care to underserved populations through partnerships with local health systems. Faculty members may also qualify for federal student loan forgiveness programs.Compensation and BenefitsThe starting base salary for this position ranges from $450,000 to $525,000, depending on years of experience and faculty rank. This figure does not include variable compensation or additional productivity incentives and is subject to departmental compensation plans.
