Head Of Engineering RemoteXapo Bank is seeking a Head of Engineering to lead and scale our engineering function across multiple product tribes. This is a unique opportunity to drive engineering standards and practices in a fully remote environment, ensuring high-quality software delivery and operational excellence in a regulated banking context.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and evolve the unified Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and enforce its governance.Lead Engineering Managers, focusing on performance management, growth, and hiring.Oversee backend change management and ensure regulator-ready audit trails for all changes.Drive the adoption of AI tools across engineering practices for enhanced productivity.Facilitate engineering incident responses and manage post-mortem processes.Required Skills & Qualifications8+ years in software engineering with 3-4 years in leadership roles.Proven track record in ensuring delivery predictability at the function level.Hands-on experience with SDLC definition and change management.Strong people leadership abilities with experience in hiring and developing engineering managers.Solid understanding of backend distributed systems in a regulated environment.
