We are unable to sponsor new H-1B visa petitions for this position.Job Summary:We are looking for a VMware Engineer to design, deploy, and operate VMware-based virtualization, software-defined networking, and software-defined storage platforms across on-premises and hybrid cloud environments. The role covers vSphere, vSAN, NSX, Aria, and Tanzu, with a focus on automation, capacity management, and the practical realities of operating a large VMware estate alongside modern cloud-native workloads. The ideal candidate has operated VMware platforms at enterprise scale, navigates the evolving VMware product landscape pragmatically, and brings strong automation and operations discipline.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and operate VMware vSphere, vSAN, and NSX environments across data centers and hybrid cloud deploymentsBuild and maintain Tanzu Kubernetes Grid environments for containerized workloadsImplement vRealize / Aria Automation for self-service VM provisioning, lifecycle management, and policy enforcementOperate NSX-T for software-defined networking, including micro-segmentation and load balancingManage vSAN clusters, storage policies, and storage performance for diverse workload classesImplement disaster recovery and business continuity using Site Recovery Manager and replicationBuild automation for VMware infrastructure using PowerCLI, Terraform, Ansible, and vRODesign capacity management strategies including right-sizing, reservation, and workload placementOperate VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) deployments where applicable, applying lifecycle management, workload domain design, and integration patterns appropriate to the broader hybrid cloud strategyImplement and operate VMware integrations with cloud providers (VMware Cloud on AWS, AVS, GCVE)Build observability for VMware infrastructure including performance, capacity, and complianceLead VMware upgrades, lifecycle management cycles, and security patching across the virtualization estate, planning carefully sequenced rollouts that minimize disruption to dependent workloadsTroubleshoot complex VMware issues spanning compute, network, and storage layersStay current with VMware product evolution following the Broadcom transitionRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related fieldFive or more years of hands-on VMware platform engineering experienceDeep expertise in vSphere, vCenter, and ESXiHands-on experience with vSAN and storage policy managementExperience with NSX-T or NSX-V networkingStrong PowerCLI scripting skills and experience with automation toolingFamiliarity with Tanzu Kubernetes Grid or VMware container platformsStrong understanding of disaster recovery patterns and SRMStrong troubleshooting skills across compute, network, and storage layersExcellent communication and collaboration skillsPreferred QualificationsVMware Certified Professional (VCP) or VCAP credentialsExperience with VMware Cloud on AWS, AVS, or GCVEFamiliarity with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)Experience with Aria Operations / vRealize OperationsExposure to migration programs out of VMware to alternative virtualization platformsHow To ApplyWould you like to know more about this opportunity?
