Role Description This is a full-time on-site role located in Highland, IN, for an Environmental Health Program Specialist. The individual in this role will oversee environmental health programs, conduct inspections and monitoring activities, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to policy development. The role involves working collaboratively with community stakeholders, educating the public on environmental health issues, and maintaining accurate records to support reporting and analysis. This position plays a critical role in safeguarding public health and promoting sustainable practices. Qualifications Experience in environmental health practices, including regulatory compliance, environmental inspections, and monitoringStrong research and data analysis skills relevant to public health and environmental policy developmentProficiency in community engagement and public education related to environmental and public health issuesOrganizational and record-keeping skills to manage program documentation and reportingDemonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies and community organizationsStrong verbal and written communication skills and attention to detailFamiliarity with public health data systems, tools, and technologies is a plusBachelor’s degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, Environmental Science, or a related field required; advanced degree or certifications a plus
