Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Masonry Foreman to oversee our masonry operations on commercial construction sites. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of masonry practices, and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise masonry crews in the installation of brick, block, stone, and other masonry materials.
Interpret blueprints, specifications, and project plans to ensure accurate execution of tasks.
Manage daily work schedules and assignments for crew members, ensuring timely progress on projects.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
Conduct quality inspections of work and materials to uphold company standards.
Provide training and mentorship to crew members to enhance their skills and safety awareness.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other trades to facilitate project completion.
Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed to ensure project continuity.
Maintain effective communication with stakeholders regarding project status and any issues that arise.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Masonry Foreman or similar role in commercial masonry.
Strong knowledge of masonry techniques, materials, and safety practices.
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and lift heavy materials.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Journeyman level mason with foreman experience.
