Assistant Accounting Manager
Our client is a local and highly reputable well known consumer products company that has asked us to find an Assistant Accounting Manager to join their expanding Accounting team. Excellent benefits (Health benefits fully paid, flexible work arrangements, several company activities) plus two days remote are featured.Responsibilities -Manage monthly, quarterly and year-end financial closes including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations and accrualsPrepare and analyze financial statements and generate reports for management, regulatory agencies and other stakeholdersPrepare audit schedules and quarterly consolidated financial statements to facilitate engagements with external auditors to ensure timely closeEnsure adherence to accounting principles and company policiesDevelop and document accounting policies and procedures, and review accounting systems to suggest modifications that improve efficiency and strengthen internal controlsProvide technical advice on complex accounting issues and assist management in interpreting financial informationRequirements-Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related fieldFour to six year experienceProven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulationsStrong understanding and experience with GAAP regulationsProven experience with financial reporting, general ledger functions, and the month-end/year-end process closeDetail-oriented and deadline driven with a high degree of accuracyStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamPlussesExperience with multi-currency in global based companyCPA and/or public accounting experienceStrong ERP and Analytics background
