Construction Flagger

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Flagger to join our team on construction sites. The Flagger will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of both workers and the public by directing traffic and maintaining a safe working environment. This position requires effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in various weather conditions. Responsibilities Direct traffic around construction sites using appropriate hand signals and signage. Ensure the safety of workers and pedestrians by monitoring site conditions. Communicate effectively with construction crew members to coordinate activities. Set up and dismantle traffic control devices such as cones, signs, and barricades. Monitor equipment operations including dump trucks, backhoes, loaders, and graders to ensure safe practices. Report any hazardous conditions or incidents to site supervisors immediately. Assist in the operation of heavy equipment when necessary, including bulldozers and front loaders. Requirements Previous experience in flagging or traffic control is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus (e.g., dump truck, backhoe, loader, grader). Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods. Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately. Must be able to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks as required on construction sites.
