Job Description: Job Summary: As a Travel Plaza Cashier at Onvo, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing excellent service while accurately processing sales transactions and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. Job Responsibilities: * Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases. * Operately accurately and efficiently handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions using a point-of-sale (POS) system. * Scan and bag merchandise, ensuring correct pricing and quantity. * Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including stocking shelves and rotating products as needed. * Assist with general store duties, such as cleaning, sweeping, and trash removal. * Handle customer inquiries and resolve minor complaints or escalate to management when necessary. * Process lottery ticket sales and tobacco product sales in compliance with all regulations. * Reconcile cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift. * Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and security. Job Qualifications: * Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is a plus. * Strong basic math skills and the ability to handle cash accurately. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. * Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. * Demonstrated reliability and a strong work ethic.
