(Nurse or Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant)
Description:
This leadership position holds the primary responsibility for the management of clinical operations. With guidance from the Medical Director, the Clinic Manager oversees all clinical activities, supervises both paid and volunteer clinical staff, leads quality improvement activities, and maintains accreditation standards for the clinic and CLIA waived lab. Crucial to this role will be to foster and inspire a culture of service in the name and example of Jesus Christ. Under the leadership of the Medical Ministry Director, s/he will collaborate with the pharmacy and administrative teams, as well as the other ABCCM ministries, to develop and implement programs and strategies to better serve those most in need. Depending on experience and licensure, the
Clinic Manager will participate in clinical care of patients and maintain up to date and evidence based standards of care for the volunteer clinicians.
Essential Job Functions:
Assist Director of Medical Ministry with overall management of Ministry functions.
Supervise daily clinic operations.
Supervise and coordinate staff clinical team, including care management
Provide clinical support for volunteer health professionals to ensure continuity and quality of patient care.
Lead quality improvement efforts to improve patient outcomes.
Develop and direct patient education/prevention services.
Assist Director in the development and maintenance of community health care resources needed to maintain and expand health care to the ministry’s patients.
Assist in recruiting, encouraging and maintaining volunteer and church support.
Assist with compliance issues as related to OSHA, CLIA, pharmacy and other technical aspects in order to maintain governmental standards of operation.
Assist with record keeping and reporting requirements involving medical records, and volunteer records.
Assist with quality assurance efforts to maintain highest standards of care
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Medical Ministry
Qualifications:
Required:
BSN or MSN level nurse with a NC license and at least 2 years of management experience or
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a license in good standing with the North
Carolina Medical Board with at least 2 years of outpatient clinical or management experience.
Must possess strong clinical skills, management skills and ability to work with volunteers.
Must possess good written and oral skills.
Should have proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities and support multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred:
Spanish language proficiency
Experience working with marginalized communities
Training in root causes of poverty, inequities, and systemic racism
Evidence of prior engagement with church or other faith-based community activities
Supervises: Staff clinical nursing team
Reports to: Director of Medical Ministry
Status: Full time, exempt, in-person; evenings and weekend work may be required
Salary negotiable depending on license and experience
Job Type: Full-time
