Quality Engineer

Quality Engineer- Hanover Park, ILResponsibilities+ Implement and manage effective process and product controls to ensure first-time product quality.+ Resolve daily in-process quality issues for assigned value streams.+ Evaluate and monitor raw material, in-process, and finished goods against customer and regulatory requirements.+ Lead investigations and resolutions for internal nonconformances, customer product quality complaints, and supplier quality concerns using disciplined problem-solving techniques such as 8D and DMAIC.+ Facilitate and manage continuous improvement teams to enhance safety and reduce the cost of quality metrics like DPPM, scrap, and the cost of poor quality.+ Capture and maintain Quality scorecard metrics, recommending improvements to foster a proactive culture.+ Develop and lead an internal product/process quality audit system, including closing out audit findings and reporting results to upper management.+ Design systems for recording and analyzing product quality levels, interpreting and reporting trends and improvement plans as part of the Quality Operating System.+ Utilize statistical data to identify and resolve safety and quality problems, leading initiatives focused on problem prevention and variance reduction.+ Create, modify, and implement sampling plans, quality standards, and process control instructions.+ Review and establish PPAP requirements for product/process changes and new product development.Essential Skills+ Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality, or related field.+ 7+ years of Quality Engineering experience.+ Lean manufacturing experience.+ Proven success in utilizing formal problem resolution tools like 8D and DMAIC.+ Experienced in using Excel and Minitab (or equivalent) for data manipulation and analysis.+ Working experience in ISO9001 with auditor experience.+ Experience with AIAG core requirements such as PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC.+ Self-directed with outstanding troubleshooting and problem resolution skills.+ ASQ certification.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Hanover Park, IL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00/yr.Great internal company Benefits with competitive 401k benefitsWorkplace TypeThis is a fully onsite position in Hanover Park,IL.Application DeadlineThis position is anticipated to close on Apr 7, 2026.Diversity, Equity & InclusionAt Actalent, diversity and inclusion are a bridge towards the equity and success of our people.
