Business Systems Developer

Position SummaryWalker Products is seeking a Business Systems Developer to help maintain and modernize critical applications used across manufacturing, quality, and operations while also providing shared support for Epicor ERP through reporting, data maintenance, troubleshooting, and process documentation. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving business problems, improving systems, and working across both technical and operational teams.The ideal candidate brings strong technical aptitude, analytical thinking, and practical problem-solving skills, along with the ability to support application development, system integration, reporting, and ERP-related processes in a manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesApplications, Integrations & ModernizationMaintain and modernize internal business applications and tools that support manufacturing, quality, and operationsSupport systems such as the ERP (Epicor), company intranet, job traveler tools, internal quality applications, and other operational web-based toolsRefresh legacy user interfaces, refactor aging code, and improve application reliability, usability, and supportabilityBuild and maintain integrations between Epicor ERP, SQL Server, internal web applications, and other connected systemsAssist with REST API development, data exchange, and automation efforts across business systemsWrite and maintain SQL queries, database reports, and data validation processesDocument applications, integrations, and technical processes to support long-term sustainabilityERP Support & ReportingDocument ERP processes and create work instructions for support and issue resolutionAssist with ERP data tasks such as customer profiles, imports, mass updates, and general data maintenanceSupport reporting and simple ERP enhancements including BAQs, SQL queries, dashboards, and report updatesHelp test ERP processes, integrations, upgrades, and third-party add-ons in coordination with the ERP teamCollaboration & Continuous ImprovementCollaborate with manufacturing, quality, operations, and IT teams to improve workflows and system usabilitySupport rollout activities for software changes, upgrades, and new processesHelp maintain data accuracy and consistency across ERP, internal applications, and reporting platformsProvide training and support for new features, functions, and process changesQualificationsEducation & ExperienceAssociate or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Development, Business Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred1-3 years of related experience preferredInternship, co-op, or project experience involving databases, reporting, application development, or system integration is a plusManufacturing, ERP, or business systems support experience is preferred but not requiredTechnical SkillsBasic understanding of SQL and relational databasesExposure to REST APIs, data integration concepts, or web-based application development preferredFamiliarity with PHP or other web application technologies preferredExperience with Epicor ERP, BAQs, SSRS, Power BI, or Epicor Grow is a plusUnderstanding of ERP support, system administration, user security, or business process documentation preferredStrong Microsoft Excel and analytical skillsGeneral understanding of data structures, reporting concepts, and application support practicesProfessional SkillsStrong problem-solving and analytical abilities Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Willingness to learn new systems and technologies Ability to manage multiple priorities in a team-oriented environment Position ImpactThis position plays an important role in supporting and improving the systems the business relies on every day. The Business Systems Developer will help modernize internal applications, strengthen reporting and integrations, and support ERP-related processes that keep manufacturing, quality, and operations running effectively.Salary: $55000 - $70000 per week
