Assist patients with daily activities, observe and report changes in condition, and maintain a safe, clean environment.Major Responsibilities:Support patient admissions by orienting them to the unit, routines, and equipment.Respond promptly to patient needs, either directly or by notifying appropriate staff.Carry out delegated nursing care tasks to help implement care plans.Ensure patient safety through proper use of equipment and supplies.Manage medication and supply rooms to keep patient care items accessible.Maintain a clean, well-stocked patient environment.Participate actively in cost containment and accurate patient service charging.Engage in educational and performance improvement activities.Perform waived testing and maintain required skills per unit competency.Demonstrate responsibility for customer satisfaction, patient flow, and hospital capacity compliance.Perform other duties as assigned.Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Nursing Assistant certification mandatory. Current registration with the state nursing assistant registry required.Experience: No prior experience necessary; on-the-job training provided.Skills and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to read and understand English. Flexible and adaptable to changing work schedules and tasks. Basic computer proficiency. Knowledge of age-specific patient care considerations.
