MechanicDay 1 onsite Title: Mechanic Location: San Antonia, TX Full time Rate: 85k Subcon rate: 50/hr Openings: 5ResponsibilitiesDiagnoses mechanical, hardware, software and systems failures and electrical troubleshooting using established proceduresPerforms maintenance, testing and calibration of repaired productsPrepares reports for analysis of product failure trends and service ability issuesWelding fabrication with Tig, Mig, Stick, Oxy-AcetyleneWelding skills & plasma cuttingRepair and/or replace all components of diesel engines, hydraulic, air conditioning, electrical, and suspension systems, drivetrains, steering, braking, material handling, and operator comfort systemsRead, analyze, and interpret technical information from schematics, technical manuals, drawings and procedures, and governmental regulations.Minimum RequirementsAssociate's degreeAt least 3 years of experience supporting engineering activities and/or automotive or diesel mechanic experience.ORAt least 5 years of experience supporting engineering activities and/or automotive or diesel mechanic experienceDesired SkillsPrevious mechanic experience involving truck and engine assembly, repair, and fabrication. Strong mechanical aptitudeVehicle experience that includes some of the following: commercial vehicles, off-highway vehicles, agriculture vehicles, and/or passenger vehiclesExperience with alternative fuels, including EV (electric vehicles), and/or PropaneExperience with Cummins/Allison/Client/DuramaxTraining/Education as a Truck mechanic, as a Diesel Engine mechanicExperience with welding fabrication with Tig, Mig, Stick, Oxy AcetyleneAcetylene Welding skills & plasma cuttingKnowledge of multimeter and/or module programmingPrior dealership or fleet service experienceBasic knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, PowerpointHighly Preferred Skills:Associates Degree in Automotive Technology + 3 Years of Diesel Experience OR 5 years of Diesel Mechanic experienceExperience working on heavy trucks or equipment
