Job DescriptionWe have been retained by a client located in Downtown Columbus to identify a Controller to join their team. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.Responsibilities:Work with other departments to create and manage the company's budget, as well as prepare financial forecasts and projectionsPrepare the company's financial statements, such as the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statementProvide information about the company's financial performance and help stakeholders make informed decisionsManage the company's audits, both internal and external. This includes working with auditors to provide necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with accounting standardsIdentify and manage financial risks, such as fraud, error, and noncomplianceImplement internal controls and developing policies and procedures to mitigate risksQualifications:Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance10+ years of relevant accounting experienceStrong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance regulationsStrong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholdersExperience with team management, including hiring, training, and supervising staffStrong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
