We are looking for a digitally savvy, highly motivated Account Executive to join our advertising team at The Houston Chronicle. As an Account Executive, you will develop and manage a sales pipeline and build new business relationships with local advertisers throughout the Houston area. You will work with customers to promote compelling solutions that best fit their marketing needs. The role cooperates with other departments to ensure we meet and exceed customer expectations in performance and process. Heyst Newspapers operates on a hybrid work week schedule.ResponsibilitiesLead Generation: Call on local small-to-medium businesses to demonstrate the value of our suite of digital media advertising products, including social media, display, video, programmatic, SEO/SEM, and traditional advertisements. Generate new leads through cold calling, networking, and prospecting; stay aware of new businesses opening in the area. Own the sales cycle and receive support from the local account management team after the sale.Product Expertise: Become an expert on digital and print products/services. Receive comprehensive global and local training during the first three weeks and ongoing support throughout your career.Execute Sales Tactics: Implement marketing strategies and deliver effective sales presentations to consistently earn, retain, and increase revenue.Advertising Solutions: Create engaging advertising solutions to solve clients' business needs.Client Solutions: Recommend new products and promotional opportunities to current clients and handle objections efficiently.
