Part-Time Senior Accountant (Mostly Remote | Los Angeles Area) 📍 Culver City, CA (approx. 25% onsite) ⏰ 15–20 hours per week | Flexible schedule 💰 $60–$70/hour 📅 3–6 month contract with strong potential for long-term extensionAbout the RoleWe’re partnering with a dynamic, project-based business seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant to step in and bring structure, accuracy, and consistency to their financial operations. This is a hands-on role for someone who’s comfortable wearing multiple hats, digging into details, and helping clean up and maintain books that have fallen behind.What You’ll DoOwn day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping operationsMaintain and update project budgets in Google SheetsTransition budgets from placeholder to active event trackingManage and clean up QuickBooks Desktop (currently behind since January)Process payroll and oversee employee/vendor paymentsEnsure all bills and vendor payments are completed within 7 business days post-eventTrack cash flow (cash basis) alongside accrual-based project budgetsMaintain payment rosters and ensure accurate income coding per projectAdminister 401(k), workers’ compensation, and healthcare (Kaiser)Serve as point of contact for ADP and EDDKeep HR policies and contracts current and compliantOversee monthly retainer tracking and budgeting for ongoing eventsPotentially support personal accounting for the CEO (gradual transition due to sensitivity)What We’re Looking For8–10+ years of accounting experience (ideally in small to mid-sized businesses)Strong QuickBooks Desktop experienceAdvanced proficiency in Google SheetsTech-savvy and comfortable navigating multiple systemsHighly detail-oriented with strong organizational skillsProven ability to manage full-cycle accounting independentlyBased in the Los Angeles area and available for onsite work (once a week)A seasoned professional who understands the nuances of running a business financially**************LOS ANGELES CANDIDATES ONLY *************Please Note: This position is open to candidates who are authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
