AR/Collections Specialist

Location: Pewaukee, WI (Onsite)Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMJob Type: 3 Month Contract to HireInterview Process: 2 roundsStart Date: ASAPOverview:The AR/Collections Specialist provides cross-functional support within the Accounts Receivable team, helping maintain operational continuity across multiple business units. This role focuses on collections, customer account setup and maintenance, and general AR administrative support, while adapting to shifting team priorities.Key Responsibilities:Collections & Account ManagementPerform collections activities and follow up on past-due balances via phone and emailMaintain accurate documentation of all customer interactions in the ERP systemResearch and resolve billing discrepancies and account issuesMonitor aging reports and escalate high-risk accounts as neededCustomer Setup & MaintenanceProcess customer credit applications and set up accounts in the ERP systemMaintain and update customer information (billing details, contacts, tax info, etc.)Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal proceduresOrganize and maintain electronic customer recordsAdministrative SupportAssist with payment processing, billing, and mail distributionManage shared inboxes and maintain organized communication recordsSupport data cleanup, audits, and process improvement initiativesProvide flexible support across the AR team as neededQualifications:Experience in Accounts Receivable, collections, or administrative support preferredStrong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume, repetitive workExcellent organization, communication, and follow-throughProficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook) and ERP systemsAbility to multitask and adapt to changing prioritiesIdeal Candidate:Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to balance multiple responsibilities across business units. Comfortable handling customer communications while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.Compensation: $20-23/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
