Responsibilities
Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs, including product demos and answering questions about merchandise.
Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process sales transactions, handle cash and card payments, and issue receipts.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries via phone etiquette or in person, ensuring every customer feels heard and appreciated.
Upsell products by recommending complementary items and informing customers about ongoing promotions or new arrivals.
Maintain organized merchandise displays through effective merchandising and stocking practices to enhance product visibility.
Manage inventory levels by stocking shelves efficiently, conducting regular stock checks, and assisting with inventory counts.
Support the store’s overall cleanliness and organization to create an inviting shopping environment for all visitors.
Experience
Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills necessary for accurate transactions.
Supervising experience or leadership roles are a plus, especially if involved in training new team members or overseeing daily operations.
Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively.
Strong communication skills are essential for engaging with customers confidently and professionally.
Experience in product demos or upselling techniques will help maximize sales opportunities.
