Job Description SummaryJob DescriptionPossible Shifts: 1st, 2nd, 3rdPossible Location: Waukesha, WI (WSO), Milwaukee, WI (EA)Grade: LG10Union: Lodge 1916Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions Include:Perform a variety of electrical, mechanical and chemical operations required to produce detector arrays for imaging systems.Process, assemble, machine, inspect, and test a variety of delicate and intricate ceramic, mechanical, and electrical assemblies from written and verbal instructions.Recognize defective parts, perform appropriate rework; fit and adjust tools as required.Maintain and interpret process control charts.May be required to set up and tear down complex computer controlled mechanical and electrical machines.Perform work of a miscellaneous nature whenever it is conducive to efficient operation and/or maintaining production.The above statements reflect a general description of the major functions of the job and shall not be construed as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be inherent in the classifications.Required Qualifications:Have demonstrated ability to read, write and understand oral and written instructions.Have demonstrated ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.Have demonstrated ability to use standard mechanical and electrical measuring devices.Have demonstrated ability to perform assembly work requiring high level of bimodal and fine motor dexterity.Have demonstrated ability to manufacture close tolerance detector components using complex process machinery.May require the use/wearing of a respirator.Have passed the visually related jobs group #2 vision test administered by the GE Healthcare Medical CenterMust be free of medical restrictions which could be conducive to a cleanroom environment*Have passed physical screenings necessary to wear required personal protective equipment*Able to discriminate visually to perform various checks*Able to discriminate auditorially to perform noise checks*Bending motions from waist required*Able to handle/lift various parts/assemblies*Repetitive hand and wrist motion required*Extended period of standing/sitting*The above listed physical elements are generic to the overall job classification and may vary by individual job assignments.Quality Specific Goals:Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/positionComplete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlinesIdentify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as requiredPossible Shifts: 1st, 2nd, 3rdPossible Location: Waukesha, WI (WSO), Milwaukee, WI (EA)Additional InformationGE HealthCare offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
