Director of NursingCompensation: $95,000 – $110,000 per yearJob Type: Full-Time, On-siteLocation: Fair Lawn, NJA premier home health agency is seeking an experienced, leadership-minded Director of Nursing (RN) to oversee clinical care standards and lead their dedicated nursing team. In this pivotal role, you will manage and supervise nursing staff, ensure strict regulatory compliance, and develop operational policies to deliver exceptional, high-quality care in a home setting. This role also oversees all care partners, providing the guidance, support, and direction necessary for optimal care delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate the delivery of home care services that reflect agency philosophy and standards. Actively monitor the clinical status of all clientsManage the assignment of nurses to client visits, optimize the per diem nurse supervisor budget, and assist in the hiring process (interviewing, orientation, competency testing)Evaluate nurse supervisors and care partnersEnsure the safe and high-quality delivery of home care services. Maintain strict adherence to local, state, federal, and HIPAA regulationsPerform client assessments as needed during any stage of the client relationship, including initial assessments, monitoring visits, re-assessments, or dischargesDevelop the agency's In-Service training program and coordinate guest presenters or directly deliver educational content to all staffCoordinate with community agencies to provide continuity of care. Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and Care PartnersRemain available via telephone to provide guidance and conduct home visits, if necessary, during designated Agency On-Call HoursMaintain a positive, professional attitude, actively participate in office meetings, and proudly represent the organization at community eventsReports to the CEOQualifications:Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing issued by the New Jersey Board of NursingBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or other health-related field, plus 2 years of professional RN experience in community health and/or home healthIn lieu of a BSN degree: 3 years of professional RN experience in community health and/or home health, featuring progressive nursing responsibilitiesProven experience providing nursing services within a patient’s home environment, inclusive of assisted living facilitiesStrong ability to prioritize, multi-task, and display a high level of flexibilityAbility to perform tasks involving physical activity (lifting, bending, standing) and the ability to deal effectively with a high-stress environmentBenefits:401(k) with a 1% match, eligible fromDay 13 weeks of Paid Time Off (2 weeks vacation and 1 week sick time)Dental and Vision insurance coveragePartial medical insurance subsidy provided for plans purchased through the healthcare marketplace
