Senior Payroll Analyst

Position Summary:The Senior Payroll Analyst will be responsible for assisting with the preparation and processing of multi-state payroll for a large employee population. This position will support payroll operations, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and collaborate cross-functionally to drive process improvements and system enhancements.Key Responsibilities:Assist with the processing and payment of regular and off-cycle payrollsReview and approve employee data changes to ensure accurate reporting and processingParticipate in payroll system enhancement projects, including automation initiativesProcess employment verifications for current and former employeesSupport file generation and troubleshooting for 401(k), HSA, and other benefit plans; coordinate with third-party vendors to resolve issuesRespond to employee payroll inquiriesAudit and reconcile data feeds to ensure accuracy and complianceResearch and resolve complex payroll issues and help implement processes to mitigate riskQualifications:2-3 years of multi-state payroll tax experience required; 5-7 years of payroll processing experience preferredWorking knowledge of US federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulationsExperience with year-end processes, process improvements, and automationProficiency in payroll/HCM platforms and advanced Excel skills; HRIS reporting experience preferredExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong communication skills, both written and verbalBeacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.California residents: Qualified applications with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.If you would like to complete our voluntary self-identification form, please click here or copy and paste the following link into an open window in your browser: https://jobs.beaconhillstaffing.com/eeoc/Completion of this form is voluntary and will not affect your opportunity for employment, or the terms or conditions of your employment.
