Carpenter/Field Services Technician
The Field Services Technician is responsible for the installation, service and repair of all types of doors and hardware technology. Other duties include site surveys, wiring, master keying services, and obtaining special certifications.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Installing/servicing locksets, master keying, door closers, power operators, exit devices, doors, frames, accessories, ramps, thresholds, etc.
Perform diagnostic services for the full range of mechanical and electrical architectural and security hardware including master keying.
Execute wiring diagrams and follow scheduling instructions with architectural floor plans.
Communicate complex technical information to customers in the field and via phone.
Keep accurate records of activities, maintenance records, and service inventory.
Maintain technical knowledge of industry changes to products and codes.
Coordinate special projects, provide recommendations for applications. (Assess applications and determine best solution based on codes, security requirements, and serviceability.)
Maintain a clean driving and safety record.
Various other duties as required or requested by management.
Qualifications
Minimum one to two years’ experience in basic carpentry skills and use of appropriate tools required for executing work.
Minimum one to two years' experience with doors, preferably on commercial jobs.
Skill in the use and care of a variety of hand and power tools necessary to perform carpentry work in compliance with OHSA and industry practices.
Knowledge of the standard methods, materials and equipment employed in carpentry work.
Ability to prioritize tasks.
Ability to perform manual labor for extended periods of time as required by work assignments.
Other
Valid California Driver License and clean DMV record.
Clean DOJ (LiveScan) Background.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
