Job Description:
NDi is seeking an experienced Network Project Manager (Network Management Support) with extensive experience in an IT environment. The Project Manager is responsible for supporting and overseeing project lifecycle activities which include but are not limited to project initiation, planning, execution, deliverables, and closure. The role requires initiating required actions to achieve project objectives and ensuring that all project activities align with FAA IT Services project management guidelines and standards.
Requirements:
U.S Citizenship required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
This position is 5/days onsite in Washington, DC.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in information systems, business systems, management information systems, IT management, and/or other IT degree (engineering, math, and science related degrees are considered acceptable alternative degrees).
A minimum of five (5) years of project management experience.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies and standards.
Ability to effectively lead and manage multiple priority projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Proven experience in project management within IT infrastructure, data center operations, and storage solutions.
Strong knowledge and experience in network infrastructure management and program management.
Proficiency with industry-standard hardware and software for network management.
Responsibilities:
Lead the planning, development, and implementation of various infrastructure projects related to the successful operation, administration, and modernization of the FAA's network systems and services. This includes support for LANs, WANs, wireless infrastructure, FAA Cloud Services (FCS), colocation facilities, and FAA Telecommunications Infrastructure (FTI)/FAA Enterprise Network Services (FENS).
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
Ensure resource availability and allocation to project tasks.
Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress.
Create and manage project timelines and milestones, ensuring projects are completed on time.
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans.
Monitor and manage project risks and issues, escalating appropriately when necessary.
Manage approved changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
Act as the primary point of contact for project communications.
Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
Conduct project reviews and obtain approvals from senior management.
Manage project budgets, ensuring alignment with financial constraints and objectives.
Monitor project expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Prepare and present detailed reports on project status, achievements, and any deviations from the plan.
Ensure all projects comply with FAA regulations and standards.
Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
