Manager of Business Development
Company Overview:A well-established personal care and cosmetics contract manufacturer specializing in skincare and personal care products. The organization focuses on chemical manufacturing, formulation, and R&D. The facility partners with brands to develop and manufacture high-quality skincare and personal care products, excluding color cosmetics.Role Overview:The Manager of Product Business Development is a hunter-style, sales-driven leadership role responsible for generating net-new revenue for the company's contract manufacturing facility. This position focuses exclusively on business development by selling the organization's manufacturing, formulation, and R&D capabilities to skincare and personal care brands.Success is measured by pipeline creation, closed business, and revenue growth. The individual owns outreach, pitching, and deal-closing activities end-to-end and operates with a high degree of independence and urgency. This role is onsite five days per week at the Moonachie, NJ facility.Compensation & Benefits:Base Salary: $110,000 - $130,000, plus annual bonus and commission structureLocation: Onsite - 5 days/week, Moonachie, NJCore Responsibilities:Business Development & SalesDrive net-new business for the contract manufacturing facilitySell manufacturing, formulation, and R&D capabilities to skincare and personal care brandsAct as a true hunter by independently owning outreach, pitching, and closingConvert an existing personal book of business into active manufacturing customersCreate and deliver full pitch decks and sales presentations independentlyAggressively pursue revenue growth and deal closureInternal CollaborationPartner with internal R&D and formulation teams as needed to support sales effortsLeverage technical and formulation expertise to align customer needs with internal capabilitiesCoordinate internal resources strategically in support of winning new businessClient EngagementServe as the primary point of contact during the sales processParticipate in occasional travel as requested by clientsRepresent the company with confidence, authority, and credibility in all customer interactionsRequired Background & Experience:Strong sales, business development, or marketing experienceA technical or chemical background with a deep understanding of:Product developmentFormulation and R&DDirect experience within skincare or personal care
