Automotive Parts & Service Manager

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager who can oversee our company's parts and service operations and manage it's efficiency and growth. We are a family owned RV dealership with over 50 years in business and multiple locations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a proven track record in the daily management of a parts and service department. This is a salaried position with an added bonus program based on performance and growth of the department. This is an excellent opportunity for the right person to grow with us and to expand our operations. Responsibilities You will be responsible for customer concerns and requests as well as overseeing and supervising the daily activities of your department. It will be your responsibility to lead the shop and its technicians as to insure that each person reaches their maximum potential and that all safety and shop policies are followed. It will be your responsibility to see that all work orders and warranty claims are accurately completed and paid on a timely basis. That all billings are followed through collection and that all internal work orders are completed and billed properly and timely. Time card punches, missed meals, and overtime must all be approved by you on a daily basis. We believe time cards are a vital tool in tracking the efficiency of both the employee and the department. You will be responsible for fostering and maintaining a beneficial working relationship with all of our vendors and community partners. Requirements It is essential that you demonstrate a customer friendly demeanor and that you have a desire to make your department a profit center as well as a desired place to work. At least five years of relative work experience is required. RV experience is not a requirement, but certainly a plus. You must have strong written and verbal communication skills with a working knowledge of the computer. You will be required to meet with management on a monthly basis in order to track the financial position of your department. A working knowledge of business fundamentals and a financial statement are required.
