Java Full-Stack & API Developer Location: Plano, TX or Iselin, NJ Candidate is expected to work from the office 2 days a week Role Summary Our Client is looking for a Java Full-Stack & API Developer to join a collaborative software development team. This role is a good fit for someone with a solid foundation in Java development who is interested in building web applications, APIs, and modern cloud-based solutions. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain Java-based web applications and backend services. Build and support REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot. Work on front-end features using Angular, React, Vue, or similar technologies. Connect applications with databases, internal systems, and third-party services. Help troubleshoot application and API issues. Write unit and integration tests. Required Qualifications 5-7 years of software development experience. Hands-on experience with Java. Familiarity with Spring Boot or another Java web framework. Experience developing or supporting REST APIs. Basic understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles. Familiarity with a front-end framework such as Angular, React, or Vue. Experience working with relational databases and SQL. Familiarity with Git or another source-control system. Nice-to-Have Qualifications Experience in all the areas below is not required. Exposure to some of them is helpful. Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, or Spring Security. OpenAPI, Swagger, Postman, or REST Assured. API gateways or API-management platforms. Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
