Join our maternity team and advance your perinatal nursing career in Seattle healthcare./n/n/nJob Details/n/nLocation: Seattle, WA 98122 – Seattle nursing jobs, Washington nursing jobs, Seattle healthcare/nAssignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nurse / Travel RN)/nUnit: Labor & Delivery (L&D) – obstetrics nurse, maternity nurse, perinatal nursing/nDuration: 13 weeks (5/18/2026 – 8/17/2026)/nShift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:30)/nEstimated Weekly Pay: $2,110 – $2,230 (competitive travel nurse pay)/nHours per Week: 36/nFloat: Required to Postpartum/Antepartum and sister facilities as needed/nWeekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holidays as needed/n/n/nJob Requirements / Qualifications/n/nMinimum 3-5 years of recent high-acuity, high-risk Labor & Delivery RN experience (5 years preferred)/nTravel RN experience required (first-time travel nurses will not be considered)/nCurrent RN license (compact licenses honored) – Washington nursing license or compact RN/nCurrent BLS and NRP certifications (ACLS, AWHONN Advanced/Intermediate preferred)/nProven ability to circulate and provide newborn care including eyes, Vitamin K injections, and newborn assessments/nExperience with EPIC charting system and electronic fetal monitoring (EFM)/nCurrent supervisory references and proof of required certifications at submission/nMust pass clinical review and provide proof of current Nursys/n/n/nKey Responsibilities/n/nProvide comprehensive, evidence-based care to laboring patients in a fast-paced, high-volume L&D unit (500–600 deliveries/month)/nCirculate for C-sections, assist with high-risk and high-acuity deliveries, and function as Baby Nurse during delivery/nPerform newborn assessments, administer Vitamin K, provide immediate newborn care, and continue newborn care until transfer to postpartum/nAdminister medications and therapies including Heparin, Insulin, Magnesium Sulfate, and manage high-risk antepartum patients/nFloat to Postpartum/Antepartum units and sister facilities as required/nCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams including midwifery, OB/GYN physicians, recovery services, and community care clinics/nMaintain accurate documentation using EPIC and follow AWHONN staffing guidelines and unit protocols/nParticipate in orientation and ongoing training modules; support unit quality and patient safety initiatives/n/n/n/n This Labor & Delivery RN travel assignment is ideal for experienced obstetrics nurses, maternity nurses, and perinatal RNs looking for a high-acuity Seattle nursing job.
