This role helps ensure a clean, safe, and efficient work environment through routine inspections, general maintenance, and operational support. The Facilities Assistant works across multiple areas, including property maintenance, warehouse and yard organization, tool and equipment management, and vehicle upkeep.Position RequirementsDuties and ResponsibilitiesPerform daily property walk-arounds to ensure cleanliness, safety, and overall site conditionComplete general property cleanup, including trash removal on a weekly and as-needed basisAssist with snow removal activities, including shoveling, snow blowing, and cleaning company vehiclesLoad and unload trucks and trailers as neededSupport tool maintenance, including cleaning, minor repairs, restocking, and tracking within the tool management systemAssist with warehouse and yard organization to maintain an orderly and efficient workspaceManage daily mail pickup and drop-off, including handling FedEx and UPS packagesStock and replenish facility supplies such as paper products and breakroom itemsMaintain cleanliness of company vehicles, including regular washing and vacuumingMonitor fuel levels in off-road diesel and gas tanks; notify appropriate personnel when refueling is neededCheck and refill fuel levels in forklifts, backhoes, and shop equipmentMonitor dumpster levels and coordinate service or replacement as neededPerform periodic maintenance tasks, including cleaning drain inlets, roof drains, and guttersDelivery and pickup of tools, materials and equipment as neededExperience / QualificationsObtain and maintain a DOT medical cardAbility to operate a forklift, backhoe, and other yard equipment as neededKnowledge and Skills:Basic understanding of general maintenance practices & tool operationStrong attention to detail and ability to follow instructionsBasic problem-solving skills and the ability to identify maintenance or safety issuesEffective communication skillsDependable work ethicCommitment to working as part of a teamPhysical RequirementsMust be able to lift up to 100 poundsSchedule or travel requirementsDay-to-day operations at our office/shop facility in Dillsburg with occasional travel as needed for equipment deliveriesWhy You will Love Working HereWe are committed to taking care of our team, both at work and at home.
