This position supports a growing regional practice and plays a key role in expanding capabilities in ports, coastal engineering, and environmental waterfront projects.This role blends technical design, project management, and client engagement. The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary projects involving dredging, shoreline stabilization, port development, and coastal protection while working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders. This is an opportunity for a senior engineer to step into a visible role with the potential to grow into managing or principal-level leadership over time.What You'll DoLead planning, design, and execution of waterfront and marine civil engineering projectsDevelop concept designs, alternatives analyses, and basis of design documentationPrepare construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimatesSupport projects involving ports, harbors, shipyards, piers, wharves, bulkheads, and seawallsContribute to dredging, sediment remediation, shoreline stabilization, and coastal protection effortsSolve complex engineering challenges with practical, value-driven solutionsManage multiple concurrent projects (typically 5–10 at a time)Oversee project scopes, budgets, schedules, and deliverablesCoordinate with multidisciplinary teams and subconsultantsEnsure quality control and adherence to engineering and company standardsBuild and maintain relationships with clients including ports, municipalities, developers, and industrial stakeholdersSupport proposal development and business development initiativesMentor junior engineers and contribute to team developmentWhat You BringBachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Environmental, Coastal, or related engineering field10–15 years of relevant engineering experienceExperience in waterfront, marine civil, or coastal engineering projectsStrong understanding of construction implementation and design processesProven project management experience including scopes, budgets, and schedulesStrong communication skills and client-facing experienceAbility to manage multiple priorities across technical and project responsibilitiesPreferred QualificationsProfessional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within one yearExperience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar design toolsExperience with dredging, remediation, or environmental waterfront projectsBackground in structural or coastal engineering applied to marine environmentsInterest or experience in business developmentWhat You GetCompetitive base salary in the $130K–$161K rangeAnnual bonus opportunityFull benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) with employer matchRelocation assistance availableOpportunity to work on high-impact waterfront and coastal infrastructure projectsExposure to a diverse portfolio including ports, remediation, and coastal engineering workFlexible hybrid work model within Southern CaliforniaStrong opportunity to grow into managing or principal-level leadershipCollaborative, multidisciplinary team environment with national support
