We are seeking aDirector of Pharmacy Operationsto lead and optimize pharmacy operations in a growing, high-performance environment. This role is ideal for a pharmacy leader with deep experience in503A and/or 503B pharmacy operations , strong regulatory awareness, and a proven ability to improve performance throughKPIs, process improvement, and operational leadership .This individual will be responsible for driving operational excellence across the pharmacy, building scalable workflows, leading teams, and ensuring the organization is positioned for continued growth. The right candidate will understand how to balancequality, compliance, efficiency, and servicewhile leading in a fast-paced and evolving environment.Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day pharmacy operations with a focus on performance, compliance, quality, and scalability
Drive operational excellence across pharmacy workflows, staffing models, production processes, and service delivery
Establish, monitor, and improve keyKPIs , including turnaround time, quality metrics, throughput, accuracy, compliance, and team productivity
Identify workflow gaps and implementprocess improvement initiativesthat enhance operational efficiency and consistency
Partner with executive leadership to support growth strategy, operational planning, and long-term scalability
Build and lead high-performing pharmacy teams, including managers, pharmacists, technicians, and cross-functional operational staff
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, internal standards, and applicable requirements related to503A and/or 503B pharmacy operations
Create, refine, and standardize SOPs, workflows, and best practices across the operation
Use data and reporting to evaluate business performance, uncover improvement opportunities, and drive measurable results
Support expansion efforts, operational readiness, and infrastructure development as the organization grows
Act as a change leader, helping the organization implement new processes, technologies, and operational controlsRequired Qualifications
ActivePharmacist licenserequired
7+ years of progressive pharmacy leadership experience, with significant operational oversight
Prior leadership experience in a503A and/or 503B pharmacy environment
Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, workflow optimization, compliance, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
Demonstrated success building and improving operational processes through data, metrics, and performance management
Proven ability to lead teams, improve accountability, and drive measurable operational results
Experience managing complex, fast-paced pharmacy environments with multiple priorities and evolving business needs
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with leadership, compliance, quality, and operations teamsPreferred Qualifications
Experience in both503A and 503Bpharmacy settings
Experience in sterile compounding and highly regulated pharmacy operations
Experience scaling operations within a high-growth organization
Familiarity with operational dashboards, reporting tools, and KPI-driven leadership
Experience in multi-state pharmacy operations
Multi-state pharmacist licensure preferred, but not required
