YARD TRUCK OPERATOR

KENT Nutrition Group (KNG), a member of the KENT Corporation family of companies has an exciting opportunity to join their team as a Yard Truck Operator at our Richford, VT plant!PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Observe and enforce all company policies & procedures.Operate fork truck.Operate Yard Truck in a safe and efficient manner for the purpose of moving 53' and 48' trailers to and from the appropriate loading dock.Place airline locks and wheel chocks on trailers that have been placed for loading.Perform preventive maintenance checks on Yard Truck.Keep trailer yard neat and orderly.Keep exterior of loading docks clean and free of spilled grain and debris.Remove snow from trailer yard and dock areas using a Front End Loader.Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.Good communication, verbal, written and math skills.Work and cooperate with all fellow employees.Thorough understanding of cGMP's.Knowledge of HACCP Feed & Food Safety Plan.Knowledge of FSMA.Other duties as assigned by plant management.EDUCATION:High school diploma or GED.EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:Commercial driver's license a plus but not required.Basic computer knowledge.Able to effectively communication with customers, co-workers and customers.Truck and heavy equipment operation a plus.Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures.Must pass pre-employment drug screen.Ability to lift a minimum of 55 lbs from floor to working height as job requires.Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
