Change lives.Shift: Monday/Wednesday/Friday 5:30a-2:00pm with alternating Saturdays 5:30a-1:00pmTuesday/Thursday 5:30a-2pm with alternating Saturdays 5:30a-1:00pmPay: $42.00Position StatementThe Registered Nurse plays a vital role in supporting individuals on their recovery journey through Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT). In this role, you will educate clients about methadone and other MAT options while assessing their medical readiness and safely administering medication. Our Opioid Treatment Program provides evidence-based care using Methadone, Subutex, and Suboxone to treat opioid dependence in a compassionate, structured, and client-centered environment.This position is ideal for an RN who is passionate about working with individuals affected by substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders and who values meaningful, purpose-driven work.What You'll DoDirect Nursing & Clinical CareAdminister methadone and other MAT medications safely and accuratelyAssess client condition and determine eligibility for medication dosingEnsure precise documentation of medication dosages and changesMaintain strict medication accountability and safeguardsUphold client confidentiality and HIPAA complianceCollaborate with physicians to support medical services, including physicalsAdminister PPD testingRespond to medical emergencies as neededClient Education & SupportEducate clients on methadone treatment and recovery expectationsOrient clients to program procedures, including urine toxicology protocolsProvide health education on wellness and related medical topicsMedical Documentation & RecordsMaintain timely, accurate nursing notes (at least quarterly or as clinically indicated)Document medications dispensed, telephone contacts, and client interactionsEnsure physician orders and administrative detox or arrears orders are properly recordedCollaboration & Program SupportServe as a medical resource to interdisciplinary staffAct as a liaison with external medical and community partnersAssist with proper medical waste handlingWork flexibly based on program needs and operating schedulesPerform other duties as required to support program operationsQualifications & ExperienceRequired:Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of New JerseyMinimum 2 years of RN experienceMinimum 2 years of experience in human services or a related fieldStrong communication, organizational, and documentation skillsAbility to work effectively with individuals with substance use and mental health disordersStrong critical thinking and clinical judgmentDetail-oriented with excellent record-keeping skillsAbility to train and support staff at multiple levelsPreferred:Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)Experience working with diverse populationsKnowledge of medical and psychiatric conditions and medicationsProfessional & Regulatory ResponsibilitiesComply with OSHA, HIPAA, Fire & Safety, and Security regulationsAdhere to NJDOH-DMHAS, CARF, and NJSAMS standardsFollow all personnel, residential, and agency policiesAccurately document time workedAttend all required trainings and meetingsMaintain professionalism and sound judgment at all timesTools & TechnologyOffice equipment: telephone, copier, fax, computerAbility to use required clinical and administrative software systemsPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, reach, stoop, twist, climb stairs, and drive as neededSafety & Health KnowledgeBloodborne pathogensRight-to-Know regulationsHIPAA complianceFire, safety, and security proceduresApis Services, Inc.
