RN - Emergency Room (ER) Nurse
Join a dedicated healthcare team providing compassionate, individualized patient care in a dynamic Emergency Room setting. This role involves developing and implementing nursing care plans while maintaining accurate medical records. Safety principles are a priority, and escalating patient concerns appropriately is essential. Collaboration with multidisciplinary health team members is key to delivering excellent care.Essential FunctionsAssess, plan, implement, and document personalized nursing care for patients of all ages, including newborns and children in emergency and pediatric units.Encourage patient independence by setting care goals and involving patients and families in discussions about medical issues, testing, medications, and self-care.Monitor physical, mental, and emotional patient conditions, reporting changes promptly.Provide direct patient care and support as part of the healthcare team.Mentor and train new staff and students.Adhere to privacy and security regulations concerning Protected Health Information (PHI).Demonstrate unit-specific competencies within a reasonable orientation period and ongoing.Minimum Knowledge and SkillsBasic nursing principles application.Effective communication skills.Keyboarding and basic computer proficiency.Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Education and ExperienceGraduate of an accredited nursing program required.BSN strongly preferred.Previous nursing experience preferred. Licensure and CertificationsCurrent Registered Nurse licensure in the relevant state.Healthcare Provider BLS certification through AHA or ARC within 30 days of start date.
