Java Developer

Overview In this role you will contribute to enterprise software development within a global IT services environment. You will design, implement and test Java-based solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust web services and data-driven applications. The position emphasizes modernization with Spring, REST, and JPA, while aligning with SDLC and project lifecycle activities. You will help drive quality and architectural reviews in a fast-paced delivery setting. This is a hands-on role with a focus on impact and scalable solutions. ResponsibilitiesDevelop and test Java applications with emphasis on analysis and designImplement data persistence using JPA/HibernateBuild and maintain web services (REST/SOAP) and MQ messagingUtilize Spring, Struts, and related frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Data, RESTful services)Work with relational databases (SQL, MS SQL/Oracle)Develop web UI components using JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSSParticipate in the full software development life cycle and project lifecycle activitiesContribute to design and architecture reviewsCollaborate in a diverse, multi-stakeholder, global delivery environmentApply experience in Financial Services/Investment domain Key requirementsAt least 4 years of Java experience (analysis, design, testing)At least 4 years of JPA/Hibernate experienceAt least 4 years of web service development (SOAP/REST, MQ Series)At least 4 years using Spring and Struts (prefer Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Test, RESTful services)At least 3 years of relational database experience (SQL MS SQL / ORACLE)At least 2 years of Web UI development (JavaScript/JQuery/HTML/CSS)At least 4 years of SDLC and 4 years in project lifecycle activitiesExperience in design and architecture reviewsAbility to work in a global delivery environmentExperience in Financial Services/Investment domainAnalytical skillsAnalytical thinkingTeam collaboration in diverse stakeholder environmentsAdaptability to a global delivery contextJavaJPA/HibernateSOAP/REST web services
