Results matter, and accountability follows responsibility.Role SummaryThe Assistant Project Manager II (APM II) supports overall project delivery, technical coordination, controls, and change management across one or two projects. This role owns work packages and information quality, and is actively building commercial awareness in preparation for full project ownership. The APM II is expected to coordinate RFIs, changes, and technical interfaces across disciplines while developing skills in scheduling, cost tracking, and client coordination.Core AccountabilityThe Assistant Project Manager II (APM II) is directly accountable for supporting:Overall project delivery and technical coordinationOwnership of assigned work packages and information qualityProgress tracking, cost trends, and change log maintenanceRFIs, submittals, and technical documentationProcurement through MTOs, RFQs, and vendor submittalsSafety integration into methods, plans, and technical instructionsProject schedule, look-aheads, and execution plan developmentExecution ResponsibilitiesCoordinate design, RFIs, changes, and interfaces across disciplinesDevelop and maintain material takeoffs (MTOs), support RFQs and submittalsMaintain change logs, forecasts, and project progress trackingOwn work packages and ensure information quality for assigned scopesAssist in building and maintaining the project schedule and look-ahead plansCoordinate with client engineering, procurement, and subcontractorsSupport turnover packages, test records, and client quality requirementsAttend and contribute to progress meetings, RFI reviews, and coordination callsPrepare formal technical reports and change request documentationAssist PM with commercial correspondence and project file maintenanceLeadership & StandardsModel STRIVE values with safety and quality as non-negotiableSet the standard for document discipline and information quality on the projectBuild commercial awareness understand how your work impacts cost, schedule, and marginSurface risks and issues early with clear facts and a recommended path forwardExperience & QualificationsEducationBachelor's in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferredEquivalent experience consideredOSHA-30 recommendedExperience36 years of total project experienceTypically includes 2+ years as APM I (previously known as Field Engineer) or CoordinatorDemonstrated experience with cost tracking, RFI management, and change log ownershipCertifications & TrainingOSHA-10 completed within 30 days of hire.
